So, I'll be back off to bonny bloody Scotland in a week or two. Great. Not that I have anything against the place, or the people. Well, only one of the people. Unfortunately, its that one I'm going to see. I've also got to familiarise myself with a new slant on a product I'm quite at home with, install a product I've only ever played with in a test environment, replace a couple of firewalls, and dodge stupid questions. Should be fun.

I certainly wont get the same level os hospitality I received last time, as I wont be being accompanied by my MD, so the aforementioned jock will not have to be nice to me. Still (my knowing grin and ability to sort out his network) > (his technical knowledge to the power of ten). Short translation... be nice, or shit stops working.

Learn linux in a week. Ho ho ho. Ok then. better get back to configuring a firewall with half the information required. Should be a good fight to get the other half, assuming my target knows the other half.

Time off

A week off work... last week. Was somewhat mental. In between several scholo and strat runs, I nearly managed to become single again (nothing to do with too much WoW, at least, it seems not). Suffice to say, home life is fairly fragile at the moment, but becoming more stable.

Back at work. Not quite as much poo to shovel through as I expected, but there's an amount. One job in particular I'm not looking forward to, but that's for tomorrow. I've been told tomorrow never comes, but if that's the case I wont be swearing at 3 firewalls all day tomorrow, now will I? Heh.

Anyhow, bollocks, I'm off back to strat, scholo or DM tonight.
